Clam Rolls
1 (61/2 ounce) can of minced clams
2 tbsp chopped onions
1 tbsp butter or margarine
11/2 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Dash of garlic powder
12 slices of fresh bread
Melted butter
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Cut crust off bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin. Put aside.
In a saucepan, cook onion and butter or margarine for 3 minutes. Blend in flour, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder.
Stir in clams and liquid and cook over low heat until mixture thickens.
Let mixture cool and then spread a light layer over each slice of bread. Roll each slice like a jelly roll.
Place on buttered cookie sheet close together and brush tops with melted butter. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
Once cooked, remove from oven and slice each roll into three pieces. Serve warm.
