To Change the Gasket:
The gasket is held in its place with screws in most ovens. Take a screw driver and loosen those screws. Pull the gasket out of the channel.
Clean the channel and the door frame. You can do this by using a moist cloth in combination with a common household detergent.Special solutions for cleaning ovens are also available in the market.
Replace the new gasket on the channel. Start at the top and work down the sides of the door frame. Finally, finish the installations at the bottom of the frame.
To Clean the Burners:
Remove the burner from the gas. Make sure that you have turned off both the gas and the electricity.
After removing the burner soak it in a solution of mild household detergent and water. Clean the burner thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Use pins or needles to clean the gas ports. Rinse the burner well. Take a soft cloth and wipe the burner dry.
Never use toothpicks or matchsticks to clean the burner. A chip of the wood may get stuck at the burner port and cause serious obstruction to the flow of gas.
After the burner is completely dried out, place the burner on the gas and turn on the power to the gas supply.
Tips and Warnings
