For the fans of cereal-based snacks, no other option comes better than the cornflake and rice krispie ***** wreath. Its base is made of cookies laced with cornflakes and rice krispies, which are surefire hits with the kids. Baking this treat is easy. All you need is to shape the cookie mix like a wreath before cooking.
Ingredients:
3 cups cornflakes
3 cups rice krispies
1 tsp vanilla
10 oz marshmallows
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp green food coloring
12 red candies
Materials Used:
mixing bowl
pan
oven
wax paper
cookie sheet
ribbon
Procedure:
Set the oven on, then switch it on to low heat.
Melt the butter and marshmallows in the pan.
When they dissolve, add the vanilla and then stir the mixture.
Do the same for the food coloring.
Add the cornflakes and rice krispies. Stir the pan’s contents thoroughly.
Once done, take a small chunk from the mixture and set it on the wax paper.
Mold the mixture until it resembles a small wreath. Don’t forget to place a prominent hole in the middle of the wreath.
Add the remainder of the mixture and mold the entire wreath. Make it look as realistic as possible. Remember, a wreath is composed of leafy sinews, so that should be reflected on your creation.
Stick the red candies into the wreath. Distribute them evenly.
Tie a red ribbon to the wreath so it looks more elegant.
With the wreath done, you now have the option to eat it or turn it into an ornament. If you want to display your creation, wrap it in plastic, then place it in a prominent corner of the room. You can also affix a strap onto the plastic and affix the whole thing on your wall.
